The Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science Chess Club was founded in 2004 with the objective of providing members with the opportunity to enjoy the game of chess. The chess club is open to individuals of all abilities, from the experienced tournament player to the beginner. Even if you have not played before, learning the rules of the game is relatively easy. Everyone can have fun playing chess.
The chess club meets on Wednesdays from 8:00 to 10:00 PM in the Conference Room of McConnell Hall. While we will try to provide chess boards and clocks, please bring your own if you have one. For more information, feel free to contact one of the chess club executives:
