Dr. Sinclair

Dr. Richard J. Sinclair is the TAMS Dean and Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at UNT. He attended Oklahoma City University, receiving his bachelor's degree in Biology in 1967. After service in the United States Marine Corps, he was awarded a National Institutes of Health Pre-doctoral Fellowship and completed his Ph.D. in Medical Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1973.

His academic career includes service as Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Associate Professor of Physiology at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center at Fort Worth (Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine).

Research interests include the toxic effects of anesthetic agents on the kidney and intrinsic control of the kidney's microcirculation.

Administrative experience includes service as Director of Admissions and Assistant Dean for Admissions, Chairman of the Admissions Committee, and Director of Minority Programs at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
