Detailed Checklist

Stored Furniture
_____1. Get furniture out of storage (bed frames, mattresses, desks, chairs, etc.)
_____2. Failure to replace furniture in your room will result in a $75.00 improper check
out charge.

The Door
_____1. Peephole is present and in good condition.
_____2. Tape, foam tape, stickers, ticky-tack is removed from both sides of door.
_____3. Dusted top of door and door frame.

The Telephone
_____1. Original phone is connected to the wall.
_____2. The phone has a dial tone.
_____3. The phone is working properly. Any repairs needed -- call x2525.
_____4. The phone is attached securely and has all parts.
_____5. The phone has been cleaned with all purpose cleaner.

The Closets
_____1. All tape, foam tape, stickers, ticky-tack has been removed from both sides of
door.
_____2. All sticky adhesive or residue has been completely cleaned off door surfaces.
_____3. Closets are completely empty and clean. (Sweep and mop closet floor.)
_____4. Dust and clean the top closets with all purpose cleaner.
_____5. Wipe down closet shelves with all purpose cleaner.

The Desk
_____1. My room has 2 desks.
_____2. Each desk has a chair. (2 chairs per room)
_____3. Desks are clean with damp cloth and cleaner.
_____4. Inside of desk drawers are clean.
_____5. Chairs (legs and all) are clean.

The Walls
_____1. All tape, foam tape, stickers, adhesive residue, stars, etc. removed from walls.
_____2. Wipe off all marks, smudges, dirt, etc. with all purpose cleaner.
_____3. All holes filled with white spackle – neatly, cleanly or you may still be charged.

The Bed
_____1. My room has 2 beds and 2 mattresses.
_____2. My bed is assembled properly and is not bunked.
_____3. Bed frames have been wiped down with all purpose cleaner.

Sink Area
_____1. All towel racks are completely assembled. Report broken ones before check
out.
_____2. All towel racks have been wiped down with all purpose cleaner.
_____3. Sink is clean, inside, outside, underneath, pipes with all purpose cleaner.
_____4. Soap dish is soap scum free and shiny.
_____5. Medicine cabinet is clean inside and out, including very top of cabinet.
_____6. All mirrors were cleaned with glass cleaner. No streaks or fingerprints.

Bathroom
_____1. Toilet is clean – inside, outside, lid, seat, pipes.
_____2. Shower walls, floor, soap dish are clean, free of soap scum, and shiny.
_____3. Shower curtain and hooks are clean, mold free, with no soap scum. Can be washed in washing machine with laundry detergent and hot water.
_____4. Floor and walls are clean. Walls cleaned with all purpose cleaner, floor
mopped, towel racks and toilet paper dispenser cleaned and shiny.
_____5. Bathtub has been cleaned with all purpose cleaner. It is clean, mold free, with
no soap scum. Curtains are clean.

General Cleaning
_____1. Blinds are well dusted and clean.
_____2. Windows are clean. Use window cleaner.
_____3. Floor is clean – swept and mopped with all purpose cleaner.
_____4. Dresser is clean – wiped off with all purpose cleaner. All drawers and shelves
are clean.
_____5. Smoke detector is properly attached and dusted.
_____6. Smoke detector is in working order. Any repairs needed – call x4955.
_____7. Top of sink and dresser lights are dusted. Need bulbs? Call x4955.
_____8. There is a cable connection with proper end in my room.
_____9. All trash has been taken out to the dumpster. My trash can and recycle bin
are both present and cleaned with all purpose cleaner.
_____10. Furniture, carpets, and other usable items (not trash) that I am not taking
home with me have been put in Mac Café for charity pick up.
_____11. All fingerprints have been wiped from light switches, door frames, outlets.
_____12. All baseboards have been cleaned with all purpose cleaner.
_____13. My phone book has been recycled in Mac Café.
_____14. ResNet Jack should be in good condition.
