Kevin
Roden
Assistant Director of Student Life
Kevin has been with
TAMS since the Spring of 1997. He began his TAMS career
as an RA on the 3rd floor new wing and subsequently held
positions as a Program Advisor and Hall Director before
starting his current position in April of 2000.
Kevin
received his BA in Political Science from UNT ('98), his MA in Philosophy from the University of Dallas ('07), and
is working toward a PhD in Philosophy from the Institute
for Philosophic Studies at the University of Dallas.
His research interests include Philosophy of Religion, Ancient
Philosophy, Medieval Philosophy, Philosophy of Science,
Aesthetics, and addressing the question What Does It
Mean to be Human? Kevin combines his love for philosophy
and his job each year by hosting Dessert and Discourse,
a series of discussions with students.
When
he is not studying Aristotle and Latin, Kevin enjoys fishing,
kayaking, playing music, and engaging others in controversial
conversation. He has been married for 8 years to his beautiful
wife Emily and just recently welcomed to the world their first child, Rosemary.
