Ben Bryan
Resident
Assistant
Ben Bryan has lived the life of a sojourner, accompanying his father, Colonel Irby Bryan, across the globe. After tasting the best the world had to offer, Ben set his sights on Texas, drawn by its mono-seasonal living and the sweet promise of southern hospitality. Following a brief flirtation with the German language, Ben began his studies of Literature, eager to learn the ins and outs of 20th century American fiction and the narrow plane that separates allusion and illusion. Feeling the pressures of life on his shoulders like the weight of the earth (allusion), Ben, using an intricate set of mirrors and a well-timed smoke grenade (illusion), escaped the powerful trappings of the modern world in search of a life that was deep and full of marrow (that's another allusion). He found such a life as an RA at TAMS and there was much rejoicing.
Ben likes reading, watching, and listening as well as rock-climbing and driving down old country roads in search of endless flat-lands and snow-peaked mountains. Ben dislikes pollen, nationalism, and talking about himself in the third-person.
