Amnesty International
Amnesty International is a world-wide movement of people who have decided to take a stand against the injustices in our world today. With more than a million members in almost every corner of our globe, Amnesty International, originally founded in 1976, stands as the largest Noble-Prize winning human rights organization today.

The TAMS chapter of Amnesty International is set up to make the campus of UNT aware of human rights violations and to take action to prevent such events from happening. This is done through movie screenings, discussions, presentations, speakers, protests, and any other way that gets students involved and interested in human rights around the world. Amnesty
International is for any motivated, driven student who believe that he/she can make a difference in the world and choose to act of those beliefs.
