Advertising Policy

Dos
• Cork boards in Mac Café are assigned to each club to post advertisements and announcements
• You can give the front desk 14 fliers (one for each RA) to give to the RAs for the purpose of putting on their boards on the wings.
• Use the TAMS website for on-line advertising
• Wing announcements can also be sent to Kevin through the TAMS web site. The deadline to get these in is noon on Wednesdays.
• Information can be put in the boxes of students who specifically request such information from the respective clubs
• The Student Activities Binder (located at the front desk) can be used for event sign up and registration
• Advertisements can be placed under the appropriate day on the large board in the lobby (right beside the stairwell)
• Submit powerpoint slides to Kevin at roden@tams.sch.unt.edu in order to have something posted on the computer screen in the lobby.
• There are 4 places in the lobby where large banners may be hung. These are reserved for the advertising of programs that involve at least 100 people. They can only be put up 3 days prior to the event. These places are:

o Above the Mac doors
o Above the lobby calendar board (right before stairwell)
o Above junior boxes
o Above senior boxes

• Be creative – if you have an unusual idea, just ask Kevin ahead of time and we can usually work something out.

• Here’s a list of other places where you CAN put 8.5x11 ads:

o Side door by mailboxes
o Mac doors (but not covering windows)
o Lobby Bathroom doors
o Stairwell doors (all 3 floors – but not covering windows)
o Bulletin board in stairwell

Don’t
The following is a list of places where you CANNOT put up signs – if you do so, they will be taken down and thrown away:

• Front doors
• Any walls
• Stairwell
• Hallways
• Smitty Doors
• Any window

Other Considerations
• You must include the actual date in addition to the day (e.g. Thursday, March 23). This is the best way to tell if the sign is current.
• Do not put signs up prior to 3 days before an event.
• All signs must be taken down immediately after an event.
