Morales Conditional Candidacy Form

Conditional Candidacy Elections Procedure

If you are currently a TAMS junior who desires to run for a club office for the TAMS 2008-2009 academic year, and your GPA for the fall semester is under 3.1 or you have over 30 points, you must complete the tenets of this form to be eligible for election. This will allow the Student Life Office to offer you a conditional candidacy in the Spring 2008 club officer elections. This privilege would otherwise be prohibited by the privilege system stipulations in the TAMS regulatory handbook to students with under a 3.1 GPA or 30 or more points. Please follow the procedure on this sheet and return the essays neatly to Kevin’s box at the front desk.

· In order to run for a conditional candidacy in the TAMS Spring 2008 club officer elections you must:

1) If your issue is your GPA, obtain an endorsement from Wendy Boyd-Brown (TAMS academic counselor)
2) Obtain an endorsement from a PA, RA, or Hall Director on your behavior and improvement status
3) Compose a short essay on your positive changes and lessons learned from you mistakes; Please include why and how you have changed. How you plan to do better and what you hope to bring to the TAMS community by being an officer in an organization
4) (Optional) Obtain an endorsement from a club officer in the club of your
chief interest

Please staple these together neatly and put the packet in Kevin’s box by March 3, 2008.

This is a CONDITIONAL CANDIDACY meaning that if your cumulative GPA after the Spring Semester is lower than a 3.10 and you earn more points during the Spring, your position will be filled with another student.

If you have any questions, please email Kevin Roden.
